Savannah's Inspirations Dance Academy wins big at Precision Arts Challeng in Kansas City

Members from the Inspirations Dance Academy Competition Team in Savannah earned top honors at the Precision Arts Challenge Competition at the Scottish Rite of Kansas City earlier this month, bringing home the win for Most Creative Concept of the weekend.

Along with the win for Most Creative Concept, the weekend was full of highs for several dancers from the academy.

Happy Little Dance, a Junior Open Line featuring Zoie Beaman, Taylin Brennan, Olivia Campbell, Payton Campbell, Billie Clardy, Alexia Collings, Evie Combs, Josie Combs, Avery Davies, Charlie Goodwin, Enzlee Hale, Lyla Hemke, Elizabeth Ingersoll, Kylie Madget, Izzy Naber, Piper Thompson, Miley Ward, Marleigh Weichinger, Harper Werner, Grayson Wise, Addison Workman, Hope Zahnd, and Mercy Zahnd, earned a Platinum, the “Most Creative Concept” award, and 1st Place Overall.

Alexia Collings performed Danny’s Sunrise (Senior Lyrical), earning a Special Judges Award, “Technique on Purpose”, Platinum, and First Place Overall.

Alexia Collings and Zoie Beaman also took home a top honor with their Teen Jazz duet, What It Sounds Like, earning Special Judges Award, “Best of Friends”, Gold and 2nd Place Overall.

Harper Werner and Kylie Madget’s Junior Jazz duet, If You Go Down, received Platinum and 1st Place Overall.

Harper Werner performed The Climb (Junior Lyrical), earning a PAC Attack, which includes a complimentary invitation to summer convention in Chicago, Gold and 11th Place Overall.

Payton Campbell and Billie Clardy’s Junior Jazz duet, Count On Me, received Platinum and 2nd Place Overall.

Olivia Campbell performed You’ll Be In My Heart (Junior Lyrical), earning a Special Judges Award, “Happy & Heartfelt”, Gold, and 12th Place Overall.

Blackbird, a Junior Jazz Large Group featuring Zoie Beaman, Taylin Brennan, Billie Clardy, Alexia Collings, Avery Davies, Kylie Madget, Izzy Naber, Miley Ward, Marleigh Weichinger, Harper Werner, Grayson Wise, Addison Workman, Hope Zahnd, and Mercy Zahnd, earned Gold and 3rd Place Overall.

Yellow Submarine, a Junior Tap Small Group featuring Payton Campbell, Josie Combs, Elizabeth Ingersoll, Kylie Madget, Izzy Naber, Piper Thompson, Harper Werner, and Grayson Wise, earned Gold and 9th Overall.

Purple People Eater, a Petite Jazz Small Group featuring Olivia Campbell, Payton Campbell, Josie Combs, Charlie Goodwin, Enzlee Hale, Lyla Hemke, Elizabeth Ingersoll, and Piper Thompson, earned Gold and 7th Place Overall.

True Colors, a Junior Lyrical Small Group featuring Taylin Brennan, Olivia Campbell, Payton Campbell, Billie Clardy, Alexia Collings, Avery Davies, Kylie Madget, and Marleigh Weichinger, earned Gold, and 12th Place Overall.

Six Flags, a Junior Acro/Gymnastics Small Group featuring Billie Clardy, Avery Davies, Elizabeth Ingersoll, Kylie Madget, Miley Ward, Harper Werner, Grayson Wise, Addison Workman, and Hope Zahnd, earned Gold.

Duet and trio performances also delivered strong results across all age divisions;

Marleigh Weichinger and Mercy Zahnd performed Somethin’ Bad (Teen Jazz), Gold and 5th Place Overall.

Elizabeth Ingersoll and Piper Thompson performed Never Fully Dressed (Petite Acro/Gymnastics), earning Gold and 9th Place Overall.

Evie Combs, Josie Combs, and Lyla Hemke performed Schuyler Sisters (Petite Hip Hop), earning a Gold and 11th Place Overall.

Hope Zahnd and Miley Ward performed Play That Sax (Junior Acro/Gymnastics), earning Silver and 8th Place Overall.

Olivia Campbell and Taylin Brennan performed Red Ribbon (Junior Jazz), earning Gold and 7th Place Overall.

Addison Workman and Josie Combs performed Hakuna Matata (Junior Musical Theatre), Silver, and 9th Overall.

Grayson Wise and Izzy Naber performed Burning Love (Junior Tap), earning Gold, and 6th Place Overall.

Avery Davies performed Feeling Good (Teen Jazz), earning Silver and 14th Place Overall.

Taylin Brennan performed Never Say Never (Teen Lyrical), earning Gold and 13th Place Overall.

Miley Ward performed Dancing Through The Spectrum (Teen Open), earning Gold and 7th Place Overall.

Elizabeth Ingersoll performed I Enjoy Being A Girl (Petite Acro/Gymnastics), earning a Special Judges Award, “Total Package”, Gold and 9th Place Overall.

Kylie Madget performed Welcome to Wonderland (Junior Lyrical), earning a Special Judges Award, “Angelic”, Gold and 4th Place Overall.

Payton Campbell performed Let’s Go To The Mall (Junior Musical Theatre), earning Gold and 5th Place Overall.

Grayson Wise performed Old Time Rock ‘N’ Roll (Junior Open Solo), earning Gold and 7th Place Overall.

Izzy Naber performed Fabulous! (Junior Musical Theatre), earning Gold.

Hope Zahnd performed Naughty (Junior Acro/Gymnastics) earning Gold.

Billie Clardy performed Sailboat (Junior Lyrical), earning Gold.

Piper Thompson performed Dance With Me Tonight (Junior Tap), earning Silver.

“I’m so proud of all the dancers! They’ve been working so hard all season and it’s exciting seeing that hard work pay off!” Inspirations competition choreographer and instructor Amanda Rose said in a news release from the dance academy, 

Inspirations Competition now focuses its attention towards its next national event in May at Showstopper in Kansas City.
