Monday Night Football was a debut of the ages for Kenneth Walker III, earning the newest member of the Kansas City Chiefs recognition as the AFC Offensive Player of the Week.
Walker amassed a career-high 191 yards from scrimmage and two touchdowns in Monday night's victory over the Denver Broncos. The reigning Super Bowl MVP rushed for 173 yards on 23 carries and added three catches for 18 yards, running for a score and catching a touchdown, putting up 179 yards after contact in the game and breaking a league-most 14 tackles along the way. He also ripped off two runs of 20+ yards, nearly matching the Chiefs' combined total number all of last year.
Walker is the first member of the Chiefs to earn the award since quarterback Patrick Mahomes did so after week six of last season. The Chiefs continue the season this weekend as Kansas City hosts the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday Night Football.
