Mo. woman injured after crash involving teen driver

LIVINGSTON COUNTY—One person was injured in an accident just before noon Wednesday in Livingston County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2013 Ford Fusion driven by a 16-year-old Chillicothe boy was westbound on LIV 2164 three miles west of Chillicothe. 

The driver failed to slow for a turn at LIV 235. The front of the Ford struck the front left of a southbound 2018 Jeep Renegade driven by a 37-year-old Wheeling, Mo., woman.  After impact the Jeep traveled down an embankment.

A private vehicle transported the Jeep driver to Hedrick Medical Center. The teen driver, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was not injured, according to the MSHP. The Patrol no longer releases names of accident victims.
