Missouri man killed, 2 air-lifted to hospital after car, pickup crash

DAVIESS COUNTY—One person died in an accident just before 10a.m. Tueday in Daviess County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2002 Toyota Camry driven by a 43-year-old Darlington man was eastbound on Route P three miles north of Jamesport approaching the intersection of MO 190. The driver failed to stop at the stop sign and traveled into the path of a northbound 2024 Ford F250 driven by a 77-year-old Gilman City man. After impact the Ford traveled off the northeast corner of the intersectxion and rolled onto its top in a field.

The Toyota driver was pronouced dead at the scene.  The pickup driver and a 75-year-old passenger were airlifted to North Kansas City. Hospital. The two drivers were not wearing seat belts, according to the MSHP. The Patrol no longer releases names of accident victims.
