WYANDOTTE COUNTY, Kan.—One person died in an accident just after noon Tuesday in Wyandotte County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2012 Mazda 5 driven by Gerald Stagg, 78, Chillicothe, Missouri, was northbound on Interstate 35 at 7th Street. The vehicle traveled off the roadway to the right, continued down to the embankment and struck a tree.
Stagg was pronounced dead at the scene and was transported to Forensic Medical. He was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident, according to the KHP.
