HOLT COUNTY —One person injured and arrested after an accident just after 9p.m. Friday in Holt County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2025 Ram 1500 driven by 47-year-old Jeffrey A. Stafford, Falls City, Nebraska was eastbound on State park Road ten miles west of Bigelow. Stafford failed to stop at a stop sign at MO 111. The pickup turned south on MO 111 into the northbound lane. A northbound 2018 Chevy Silverado driven by a 16-year-old Table Rock Nebraska girl struck the front passenger side of the Ram 1500.
After impact the Ram 1500 skidded off the ease of the road into a ditch.
Stafford was arrested on requested charges of DWI, failure to stop at a stop sign, failure to drive on the right half of the road resulting in an accident and for no seat belt. Atchison Holt ambulance transported him to Mosaic in St. Joseph. The teen driver was evaluated at the scene by EMS and released.
