ANDREW COUNTY —One person was injured in an accident just after 5p.m. Monday in Andrew County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2018 Chevy Traverse driven by a 39-year-old St. Joseph woman was northbound on U.S. 169 at Route D in Avenue City. The driver attempted to make a west into a parking lot. The driver failed to yield to a southbound 2006 Chevy 1500 driven by a 69-year-old Helena man. The vehicle collided.
Andrew County EMS transported a 10-year-old male passenger in the SUV to Mosaic. There were no other injuries. The driver of the pickup was not wearing a seat belt, according to the MSHP. The Patrol no longer releases names of accident victims.
