Mo. man hospitalized after SUV traveled into a hole marked by cones

DAVIESS COUNTY —One person was injured in an accident just befoe 9a.m. Sunday in Daviess County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2020 Hyundai Santa Fe driven by a 68-year-old Gallatin man was westbound on Grand Street just east of Green Street in Gallatin.

The SUV's windshield was fogged over obstruction the driver's view.  The vehicle traveled into a hole in the ground that was marked by orange fencing and cones.

Daviess County ambulance transported the driver to Cameron Regional Medical Center. He was properly restrained, at the time ofthe accident, according to the MSHP. The Patrol no longer releases names of accident victims.
