KANSAS CITY —One person died in an accident just after 12:30a.m. Saturday in Kansas City.
A white Pickup truck was traveling at a high rate of speed on N. Oak around NE 103rd in Kansas City, Missouri, according to KCPD Sergeant Phil DiMartino. The pickup rear-ended a silver Buick. The Buick driver was pronounced dead on scene by EMS personal.
The driver of the white pickup remained at the scene and was placed under arrest for suspicion of DUI. Polie did not release the name of the driver who died or the driver arrested.
This marks fatality #11 in Kansas City, Missouri for 2026, according to DiMartino.
