
KANSAS CITY —Law enforcement are investigating another homicide in Kansas City, Missouri.
Just before 1p.m. Tuesday, police were dispatched to the area of 70th and Cleveland on a shooting call, according to KCPD Captain Jake Becchina. On arrival officers located a vehicle stopped in the road at that location. Officers were directed inside the vehicle where they located an adult male shooting victim.

Officers rendered aid to the victim and called for EMS. EMS transported the victim to the hospital with life threatening injuries. Detectives responded to the scene to begin their investigation along side of crime scene investigators.
A short time later detectives were notified the victim was pronounced deceased from his injuries at the hospital.
Preliminary information indicates the victim and multiple other people were at a location nearby on 71st Street. When they came in contact with one or more suspects. That interaction escalated to shots being fired and the victim was struck.
The victim and others entered a vehicle and left the scene and drove to the location where police contacted them on 70th and Cleveland
Police have not reported an arrest and did not release the victim's name.
