
JOHNSON COUNTY— Fireworks caused a fire that displaced more than a dozen people Sunday evening on Olathe.
Just after 7:30p.m., firefighters were called to report of a fire in a duplex home the 1300 block of East 152nd Street, according to a social media report from the Olathe Fire Department.

Firefighters battled the fire on one side of a duplex-style home and prevented the fire from getting into the structure’s other residence. The damage was significant.
An investigation on Monday determine the use of fireworks ignited a wooden deck and started the blaze, which displaced 13 people and caused $150,000 in damage. There were no injuries.
