Kan. school bus driver accused of child sex crimes

KINGMAN COUNTY — Law enforcement are investigating a USD 331 Kingman-Norwich school district employee for alleged child sex crimes.

Just after 11:30p.m. Tuesday, 47-year-old Tony R. Streight was booked into the Kingman County Jail on requested charges of rape and indecent liberties with a child, according on online jail records.

Streight worked as a bus driver for the school district and a teacher assistant at a school district preschool.

In a notice sent to school district families, USD 331 said the employee was immediately stripped of duties pending the outcome of the legal process. and the alleged incident did not take place on school grounds or during school activities. 

Streight is being held on a 100,000 bond, according to online jail records.
