ANDREW COUNTY —Two people were injured in an accident just before 11a.m. Saturday in Andrew County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2013 GMC Terrain driven by a 43-year-old Savannah man was crossing Business 71 to the northbound entrance ramp to Interstate 29 two miles north of Country Club. The driver failed to yield to a southbound 2018 Chevy Impala driven by a 37-year-old St. Joseph man. The car struck the front passenger side of the SUV.

Andrew County EMS transported the SUV driver and a 4-year-old St. Joseph boy, who was a passenger in the car, to Mosaic Life Care. The Impala driver was not injured. The SUV driver was not wearing a seatbelt, according to the MSHP. The Patrol no longer releases names of accident victims.
