SHAWNEE COUNTY —One person died in an accident Thursday in Shawnee County.
Just after 3p.m., the Shawnee County Emergency Communications Center received a report of a tractor accident at a rural residence in the 4000 Block of NW Hoch Road, according to Deputy Abigail Christian.
First responders found a 76-year-old man trapped beneath a tractor suffering from critical injuries. Despite life saving measures he was pronounced dead at the scene. The sheriff's office did not release the name of the victim.
