DEKALB COUNTY —Two people died in an accident that occurred just before noon Sunday in DeKalb County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2007 Saturn Aura driven by a 42-year-old Chillicothe woman was eastbound on U.S. 36 at MO 33 two miles west of Osborn. The car struck the towed unit of a northbound 2012 Peterbilt semi.
The driver of the Saturn and her passenger, identified as a 43-year-old St. Joseph man, were pronounced dead at the scene. The semi driver from Washington State was not injured. The MSHP had incomplete seat belt usage information. The Patrol no longer releases names of accident victims.
