A fishing event on the Mosaic Life Care campus, at the Cancer Care Center pond, will help provide an opportunity for men to connect with others who are currently navigating or have survived cancer.
The Mosaic Life Care Cancer Care will host "Cast, Catch and Connect", a free outdoor event for men navigating cancer currently or survivors who have a history of cancer, on Thursday, June 25th from 6 to 8 p.m. Activities include a fish fry, fly-fishing demonstration, handcrafted boat display and a complimentary lure for each participant.
A Missouri conservation agent will share local fishing tips, and attendees will learn about Reel Recovery, a nonprofit offering fly-fishing retreats for men with cancer.
“Creating opportunities for connection, conversation and community is an important part of caring for those navigating cancer and survivorship,” radiation oncology practice manager at Mosaic Life Care Cancer Care. Trisha England says in a news release from Mosaic.
