Calvin Eugene McIntosh, 72, of Shenandoah, Iowa, and formerly of Randolph, Iowa, entered into eternal rest at Accura in Shenandoah, Iowa, on January 31, 2026.
Calvin, son of Cal Eugene McIntosh and Bonnie Elaine (Anderson) Peterson, was born in Council Bluffs, Iowa, on May 9, 1953.
Most of his early life was spent in Council Bluffs, Iowa. He attended Boomer School until the 9th grade and then moved to Omaha to live in his cousin’s house. Eventually, Calvin moved to Randolph, Iowa, where he met Teresa Elliott. He helped raise Teresa’s two daughters, Tiffany and Kim, as his own children.
He was a jack of all trades, and although he spent time as a roofer, working on small engine repairs and motorcycles, he most enjoyed his time spent working as a farm hand. Calvin also enjoyed spending time with his family camping, fishing and being outdoors. He liked doing things with his grandkids and was often talked into playing hot wheels with them.
Preceding him in death were his lifelong partner, Teresa Ann Elliott; sister, Sue Marshal; aunts, Lee and Darlene; and nephew, Brian Schorsch. Those left to remember Calvin are his mother, Bonnie Peterson; brother, Tom McIntosh (Heather); sister, Bonnie Lomm (Dean Woods); sister, Darla (Bob) Simmermon; sister, Julie (Walter) Hester; brother, Gary Peterson; brother, William Peterson; sister, Jennifer Peterson; brother, Gregory Peterson; half-sisters, Tracy (Donny) and Sherry (Carla); daughters, Tiffany Ann Van and Kimberly Jolene (Reno) Johnson; grandkids, Dezzaray Ann Van, Paige Nichole (Elijah) Wheeler, Nickalis James Loghry, Ethan Michael-Rylan Heinika, and Jay Charles Covert; great grandkids, Grace Clark and Carter Covert; and several nieces and nephews.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
