Gary Mather, 80, of Burlington Junction, Missouri passed away on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at his home.
Gary was born on February 27, 1945, in Maryville, Missouri to Virgil and June (Powell) Mather. He enjoyed farming, but had worked for Wilsons in Clarinda, Excel Beef Plant and Eveready Battery. He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion. He was a jack of all trades and would help anyone. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing cards.
He married Tammy Wilson on January 1, 1966, in Las Vegas, Nevada. She survives of the home. Additional survivors include their children, Cathy Mather and Corey Mather; four brothers, Kenny Mather, James (Susie) Mather, Phil (Maria) Mather and Steve (Barb) Mather; three sisters, Marilyn (Melvin) Hicks, June (Dave) Tucker and Connie (Ed) Gebhards; brother-in-law, Duane Moore; sister-in-law, Jean Wilson and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter-in-law, Lorri Mather, sister, Tammy Moore, brother, Virgil Mather, brother’s-in-law, Robbie Wilson and Kip Wilson; sisters-in-law, Terri Kenagy and Susie Mather.
Services 10am Friday, June 27th at Price Funeral Home. Burial Ohio Cemetery, Burlington Junction, Missouri. No visitation will be held.
