Traci Renee Marenah, daughter of Vernon and Sybil (Johnson) Bennett, was born on June 16, 1969, in Hillsboro, Oregon. She entered into rest at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska, on September 12, 2025, at the age of 56.
As a baby, Traci moved with her parents from Hillsboro, Oregon, to Hamburg, Iowa. She started elementary school there and then finished her schooling and graduated from Sidney, Iowa, in 1987. Traci attended college at Northwest for secretarial and graduated in 1988.
She worked for several places, utilizing her secretarial degree. She worked at Grape Community Hospital as charge entry from 1992-1997. Traci then worked at Shenandoah Memorial Hospital as a patient account representative from 1999-2005 before returning to Grape Community Hospital as an account Manager from 2005-2007. She went on to work at Willis & Willis until 2010 before beginning her position at Direct TV, which is where she was currently employed and had been for 13 years.
Traci was a member of the Nishna Valley Christian Church from 2006 – 2022. She was also a hostess of her monthly dinner clubs with friends. Traci had several hobbies like crafts and florals to go along with her seasonal decorating, cooking and baking, or writing poetry. She most enjoyed the time with friends and family, especially if it involved some thrift shopping, playing games, traveling, or trying a new restaurant.
Preceding her in death were her adopted parents, Vernon and Sybil Bennett; birth mother, Jan Weise; and her second husband, Craig Morris. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Foday Marenah of Omaha, Nebraska; daughters, Chelsea Fox of Bates City, Missouri; Emily Fox of Kansas City, Missouri; Katie Morris of Omaha, Nebraska; and Cassidy Morris or Kansas City, Missouri; grandkids, Adryian, Ari, Trae, Vera, and one on the way (due December 23rd); other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services for Traci will be held on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at 2:00 pm at the Nishna Valley Christian Church in Shenandoah with Pastor Jack Langley officiating. The family will greet relatives and friends with visitation from 5:00 to 7:00 pm Tuesday evening, September 16, 2025, at the Nishna Valley Funeral Home in Shenandoah. Burial will take place in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Shenandoah. Memorials in Traci's name are being directed to the family to be designated.
