Kenneth Ronald Livengood, known as Ron, passed away peacefully on September 8, 2025, in Council Bluffs, IA, at the age of 87. Born on November 27, 1937, in Maryville, MO.

Ron attended Iowa State University, where he pursued his love for animals by studying Veterinary Science. Ron's career was marked by his tenure as a supervisor at Lisle Corporation. However, his true calling was as an accomplished purebred Cordell sheep breeder. His dedication earned him numerous awards as a highly regarded sheep competitor across many states in the Midwest.

Beyond his professional achievements, Ron was an Iowa State football fan, cheering on his alma mater. He loved to read, particularly when it came to Westerns, United States history, and had a deep interest in Livengood family genealogy. He spent many hours researching his family's lineage and connecting with many distant relatives.

Ron's farm was his sanctuary, where he cared for his beloved sheep and cattle. It was here that he found peace and purpose with his best farm dog, Charlie, who was a loyal companion, sharing in the daily joys and challenges of farm life.

Ron's legacy is carried on by his family, including his siblings, Ann Keever and Tom Livengood. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Livengood. His memory will live on with his sons, Bret Livengood, Timothy Livengood, and Brian Barker. His grandchildren, Wyatt Barker, Kayliss Livengood, Connor Livengood, Alykk Livengood, Jerrah Livengood, and Joram Livengood.

Visitation is set for Friday, September 12, from 5-7 PM, at Walker-Merrick Billings Funeral Chapel, 422 East Washington Street, Clarinda Iowa.

Funeral Services will follow Saturday at 10 AM, also at Walker-Merrick-Billings.
