Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins announced several new USDA initiatives during Minnesota Farmfest, aimed at helping producers manage economic and production challenges. USDA plans to modernize its data systems, provide additional flexibility for crop insurance premium payments, and expand prevented planting coverage. Rollins says the department is focused on improving customer service while strengthening the risk management tools farmers rely on.
