72 FFA members from around the United States attended the National FFA Organization’s Next Gen Conference in Kansas City, exploring careers in animal agriculture through hands-on activities and industry tours.
Students from 23 states got the opportunity to learn about future careers in agiculture such as visiting hog production farms, pet food and feed manufacturing facilities, and the American Royal, learning about animal operations, technology, marketing, and various other career opportunities in the industry. The event aims to prepare students for future careers in agriculture and participants were selected through a competitive application process based on their supervised agricultural experiences.
The event marked a return to Kansas City, where the Next Gen conferences began in 2020, and was the third Next Gen Coference of the year with upcoming events planned for St. Louis, Detroit, and Denver. For more information, visit ffa.org/participate/next-generation-conference.
