Northwest Missouri State University has honored 12 faculty members with its annual Faculty Excellence Awards, recognizing outstanding teaching, scholarship and service during the 2025-26 academic year. Among this year’s recipients, Doctor Alex Taylor, an assistant professor in Northwest’s School of Agricultural Sciences, has been selected to receive the University’s 2027 Governor’s Award for Excellence in Education. Taylor joined the Northwest faculty in 2020 and teaches courses related to soil science.
